IMPORTANT:
• Configure the antivirus and firewall policies on your management station and host to ensure unin-
terrupted communication between the two systems.
• If the following environment variables are already configured on the management station, delete
or rename them before the installation begins:
• %ORACLE_HOME%
• %ORACLE_SID%
• %CATALINA_HOME%
You can recreate these variables or rename them back after the installation procedure completes.
To begin the P9000 Performance Advisor installation:
1. Log on to your management station as an administrator (administrator:administrator).
2. Insert the P9000 Performance Advisor installation disk 1 into the DVD drive. If the installation
wizard does not start automatically, run the PA_Server.exe file from the P9000 Performance
Advisor installation disk 1.
Right-click the PA_Server.exe file and select Run as Administrator from the drop-down list, if
you are installing or upgrading P9000 Performance Advisor on a Windows management station.
