Workaround: HP recommends that you perform outband mode of configuration data collection
to refer to the snapshot V-Vol numbers.
• The number of LDEVs associated with a MP blade are inconsistent. This behavior is observed
on the Array View - MP Blade screen.
Workaround: HP recommends that you perform outband mode of configuration data collection
to refer to the LDEV numbers.
• When you plot a chart for more than 250 components, the performance graphs for only the first
250 components are displayed in the chart.
Workaround: To plot performance graphs for more than 250 components, you have to plot the
graphs for the first 250 components in the existing chart window and then plot the graphs for the
remaining components in a new chart window.
• If you want to upgrade a P9000 Performance Advisor Windows host agent installed in a location
other than the following default installation location, <Installation_drive>:\Program
Files\Hewlett-Packard\xppa, remove the existing version of the host agent and then install
the v5.2.1 host agent.
To remove the existing version and install the v5.2.1 Windows host agent:
1. From the Control Panel in Windows, click Add/Remove Programs.
2. Remove the HP P9000 Performance Advisor Windows Host Agent from the list of installed
programs.
During removal of the Windows host agent, you will be prompted to remove the RMLIB
functions.
3. Click Yes to remove RMLIB.
If you are sure that the RMLIB functions are being shared by some other application, click No
to retain the RMLIB components.
4. Delete the XPPA folder from the location where it is currently available.
5. Ensure that the Windows host agent and real-time services are removed.
The HP P9000 Performance Advisor Hostagent and HP P9000 Performance Advisor Realtime
Server must not be listed in the Services dialog box.
6. Install the P9000 Performance Advisor Windows host agent v5.2.1. For more information,
see the HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Software Installation Guide.
IMPORTANT:
If you face any issues during Windows host agent un-installation, you must execute the
HA_CleanupTool_msi file to cleanup the existing host agent files. For more details on
downloading the tool, contact your HP Support representative.
• If you upgrade a P9000 Performance Advisor v5.2 to v5.2.1, you must reconfigure the email and
alarm notification settings on the management station to receive notifications on alarms, reports,
and data collection failures after the upgrade process is completed. For more information, see the
HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Software Installation Guide.
• To launch P9000 Performance Advisor locally on a management station that is installed on a vir-
tual server, use the fully-qualified domain name ([server name].[domain name]) or the IP
address of that management station instead of the PA shortcut in the http URL – http://<fully
qualified domain name>/pa or http://<IP_address>/pa.
