2. Navigate to the Select operating system section and choose the appropriate Windows operating
platform for your management station.
3. Navigate to the Patch section and click Download. You can also click the link for the product
title in the Description column.
4. Double-click the Update.exe file.
The Open File - Security Warning dialog box appears.
5. Click Run.
The InstallShield Wizard dialog box appears. Wait for few seconds while the wizard prepares
for installation.
6. On the Welcome screen, click Update.
Wait for the installation procedure to complete.
7. Click Finish.
NOTE:
After upgrading to v5.2.1 on the management station, you must also upgrade the host agents to
v5.2.1 on the respective hosts. For more information on upgrading the host agent to v5.2, see the
HP
StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Software Installation Guide.
To verify if the upgrade is successful, do one of the following:
Login to P9000 Performance Advisor and verify if the P9000 Performance Advisor version number
is upgraded to v5.2.1.
In Add/Remove Programs, verify if the Performance Advisor version number is upgraded to v5.2.1.
Fixes
P9000 Performance Advisor v5.2.1 includes the following fixes:
In the Array View > LDEV screen, the no records found error message is no longer displayed.
For a P9500 disk array, the RAID group performance data collection does not fail if the disk array
is configured with more than 18-1 RAID groups, ranging from 19-1 to 32-16 RAID groups.
For XP24000, XP20000, and later disk arrays, the Inband mode of configuration data collection,
Raid group performance data collection, and loading of P9000Watch host group screen no longer
fails even if the journal pool is configured with more than 16 pool volumes or LDEVs.
The invalid header issue in the alert emails and the failure to deliver Alarm emails issue, in the
P9000 Performance Advisor are fixed.
Notes
All XP/P9500 FICON, ESCON channel, CHIP Port IDs are listed as, Not Mapped on the Array
View LDEV screen.
FICON, ESCON CHA, port level metrics are not available in XP and P9500 disk arrays, therefore,
port metrics values are presented as 0 in all P9000 Performance Advisor screens.
All RAID group level and LDEV volume level performance metrics, are supported by P9000 Per-
formance Advisor, including mainframe volume emulation types.
