Description The HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Software (P9000 Performance Advisor) collects, monitors, and displays the in-depth performance data of XP and P9000 (P9500) disk arrays, so that you can monitor the performance and utilization of components, such as the Logical Device (LDEV), Client-Host Interface Processor (CHIP) or Channel Adapter (CHA), Array Control Processor (ACP) or Disk Adapter (DKA), Disk Controller (DKC), or the MP blades.
Operating systems and JRE requirements P9000 Performance Advisor v5.2.1 supports the same list of operating systems for the management station and host systems that v5.2 supports. 2. Navigate to the Select operating system section and choose the appropriate Windows operating platform for your management station. 3. Navigate to the Patch section and click Download. You can also click the link for the product title in the Description column. 4. Double-click the Update.exe file. The Open File - Security Warning dialog box appears. 5. Click Run. The InstallShield Wizard dialog box appears. Wait for few seconds while the wizard prepares for installation. 6.
• In a 100% ThP environment, the Dashboard Backend Statistics displays zero values as the backend metrics for an XP or a P9000 (P9500) disk array. This is because, the I/O per second data and the MB/second data throughput is on the VVols rather than the pool LDEVs in a RAID group. This is currently a limitation in P9000 Performance Advisor.
Workaround: HP recommends that you perform outband mode of configuration data collection to refer to the snapshot V-Vol numbers. • The number of LDEVs associated with a MP blade are inconsistent. This behavior is observed on the Array View - MP Blade screen. Workaround: HP recommends that you perform outband mode of configuration data collection to refer to the LDEV numbers.
• You must wait for an Inband or OutBand configuration collection to complete before you initiate another configuration collection, as it is not possible to re-initiate a configuration data collection (a limitation observed from v4.5 onwards). • When you schedule an Export DB report activity for an XP or a P9000 (P9500) disk array, the severity type might be displayed as System Error for this activity on the Event Log screen instead of User Action.
• Do not use an apostrophe (') in the host group name, as P9000Watch does not support it. • When you remove P9000 Performance Advisor on a management station, the contents of the C:\ windows\system32\config\Oracle directory does not get removed. So, re-installation fails. Workaround: Delete the C:\windows\system32\config\Oracle directory before re-installing P9000 Performance Advisor on the management station.
