HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Software v5.2 User and Troubleshooting Guide (T1789-96315, June 2011)
DescriptionMetricMetric category
Each External RAID group
value is the sum of the
LDEVs in the selected Ext-
RAID groups of the array.
The chart displays only
one Ext-RAID Group, if
configuration data is
collected using the inband
mode. The value displayed
in the chart is a sum of all
the Ext-RAID Groups in the
array.
The total frontend
throughput in MB/s data
read or written to the ex-
ternal volume.
Ext-RAID Group Total MB
The total frontend
throughput in MB/s data
read or written randomly
to the external volume.
Ext-RAID Group Total
Random MB
The frontend throughput
in MB/s data read ran-
domly from the external
volume.
Ext-RAID Group Random
Read MB
The frontend throughput
in MB/s data written ran-
domly to the RAID group.
Ext-RAID Group Random
Write MB
The total frontend
throughput in MB/s data
read from or written se-
quentially to the external
volume.
Ext-RAID Group Total Se-
quential MB
The frontend throughput
in MB/s data read se-
quentially from the extern-
al volume.
Ext-RAID Group Sequen-
tial Read MB
The frontend throughput
in MB/s data written se-
quentially to the external
volume.
Ext-RAID Group Sequen-
tial Write MB
Applicable only for XP disk
arrays.
Example – ACP Pair BH
has B as the left ACP card
and H as the right ACP
card.
• The total utilization of
the ACP pair.
• In a thin provisioning
environment where an
ACP pair is associ-
ated with a ThP pool,
the ACP Pair Util Total
metric provides the
ACP utilization due to
the I/O cache miss
(where frontend I/Os
occurring on a ThP
pool are received at
the array backend). In
this case, ACP utiliza-
tion also correlates to
the utilization of RAID
groups associated
with a ThP pool.
