Points to note
This section describes important information related to P9000 Performance Advisor v5.2.
In addition to JRE v6.0 Update 18 which is mentioned as the maximum and recommended version
in the HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Software Installation Guide, P9000 Performance
Advisor now also supports JRE v6.0 Update 24 as the maximum and recommended version. So, this
update overwrites the maximum and recommended JRE version mentioned in the installation guide.
Fixes
P9000 Performance Advisor v5.2 includes the following fixes:
• You can save charts as PDF documents when you upgrade P9000 Performance Advisor from v4.1
to v5.2.
• You can collect configuration data for a P9000 (P9500) disk array through the Outband mode
even if the snapshot, continuous access, and ThP pools are not configured in that disk array.
The following message is no longer displayed in the Event Log when you initiate an Outband
mode of configuration data collection:
Outband collection failed for the array.
• The HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Software User Guide is updated to state that
the serverparameters.properties file on the target management station is replaced with
the serverparameters.properties file from the source management station, when data is
restored on a target management station. Also, the HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor
Tomcat service is automatically restarted to reflect the latest settings after the restore activity is
complete.
• The HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Software User Guide and HP StorageWorks
P9000 Performance Advisor Software Install Guide are updated to state that the View License
screen displays license details only for those XP and P9000 (P9500) disk arrays, for which at
least one round of configuration data collection is complete (monitored disk arrays).
• The HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Software User Guide is updated for the Start
Updating feature.
When you click the Start Updating button, the chart window is refreshed every 5 minutes based
on the system timestamp from where you are accessing P9000 Performance Advisor. If the per-
formance data is being collected for a frequency of less than 5 minutes, all the data points accu-
mulated over the past 5 minutes are displayed. If the performance data is being collected for a
frequency of greater than 5 minutes, there are no data points available when the chart is initially
updated for 5 minutes. The data points appear in the next update cycle only for the delta duration.
