Operating systems and JRE requirements
The list of operating systems supported by the P9000 Performance Advisor management station and

In addition, the support matrix includes the supported Internet Explorer (IE) and Java Runtime
Environment (JRE) versions.
IMPORTANT:
You must install JRE before installing P9000 Performance Advisor and the host agents.
Languages
P9000 Performance Advisor is available only in English.
New features
P9000 Performance Advisor v5.2 includes the following new features:
Configuring P9000 Performance Advisor to use a non-default http port for all
communications
You can now configure P9000 Performance Advisor to use an http port other than port 80 for all
communications by specifying the non-default port number during installation. Specify the same http
port number during the Windows and UNIX host agents installation, so that both P9000 Performance
Advisor and the host agents communicate through the same http port.
IMPORTANT:
The option of specifying a non-default http port number is available only for v5.2 installations. Port
80 is still the default and the only http port that P9000 Performance Advisor will use to communicate
with host agents, if upgraded to v5.2.
Periodic monitoring of P9000 Performance Advisor services and dispatching
appropriate email notifications
A new service called the HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Monitor supervises the
following services and accordingly dispatches status notifications to the intended recipients:
• HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Tomcat service
• HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Database service
• HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Database Listener service
