Enhancements Enhancements made in 7.2.0-03 • Tiered Storage Manager corresponds to Device Manager 7.2.0-03. Fixes Corrections made in 7.2.0-03 • • For THP volumes made up of SSDs, the following problems that occurred in the Mobility tab were corrected: ◦ The Used % bar was not displayed for SSDs. ◦ Used Capacity was not displayed for SSDs. ◦ Used Capacity was not displayed for SSDs in the Edit Tiering Policy dialog box.
Important considerations Shredding THP volumes in XP24000/XP20000 • If you specify the data deletion (shredding) option and perform the data migration for a migration source THP volume in an XP24000/XP20000 disk array from Legacy mode or the CLI for Tiered Storage Manager, the migration source volume shredding step completes but the deletion of the migration source volume might generate an error. ◦ In Tiered Storage Manager Legacy mode, the error is 62010. ◦ In the Tiered Storage Manager 5.9.0-00 to 7.
In Domain Ctrl, the display format of the storage system is ::. • Using the CLI: Refer to the controllerName value in the output of the GetStorageDomains -d command. Mozilla 1.7.13 (HP-UX 11i v3) support If the Tiered Storage Manager GUI uses Mozilla 1.7.13 in HP-UX 11i v3 for PA-RISC, the IPv6 protocol cannot be used to communicate with the Tiered Storage Manager server.
The following events might occur if the wizard is started in more than five screens: • Responses to the volumes search might take three minutes or more. • A memory shortage might occur because the amount of used memory (used, for example, by GUI processes and by the Web browser) increases greatly. If this occurs, restart the Device Manager server.
