Version 7.2.0-02 Description This download package contains an upgrade of the HP P9000 Tiered Storage Manager Software. Update recommendation Recommended Supersedes 7.2.0-00 NOTE: When the full package of Device Manager 7.2.0-02 is applied, Tiered Storage Manager 7.2.0-02 is also applied automatically. If you apply the Tiered Storage Manager upgrade patch 7.2.0-02, also apply the Device Manager upgrade patch 7.2.0-02. You can apply these upgrade patches in any order.
As a result, the following symptoms occurred: • ◦ Symptom 1: A data migration task did not finish and data migration did not make progress. In addition, a task including the data migration did not finish. ◦ Symptom 2: You could not cancel the task in which Symptom 1 occurred through the Tiered Storage Manager GUI. ◦ Symptom 3: After rebooting the P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite, the task in which Symptom 1 occurred did not produce an error.
The zero page reclaim option has no effect in migrations that have a Mainframe THP volume specified as a source. The storage system automatically executes a zero page reclaim. When a tier created from the Device Manager GUI is displayed on Tiered Storage Manager When a tier created from the Device Manager GUI meets any of the following conditions, the tier is not displayed in the storage tiers of Tiered Storage Manager: • The tier was created by directly specifying 101 or more volumes.
If the zero page reclaim option is specified in the migration task, also use Device Manager to perform a zero page reclaim to the target volume.
If this occurs, refresh the storage system information and check the current storage system configuration. After that, perform the Migrate Data operation again by following the recent Task Status and the configuration of the storage system. Selecting a tier when creating a migration plan Do not select a tier with more than 1,300 free volumes when creating a migration plan. Prerequisites Applicable product version 7.2.
