4 Removing P9000 Command View AE

Software

This module describes how to remove P9000 Command View AE Software and components.

Removing P9000 Command View AE Software server

You can remove P9000 Command View AE Software when you no longer need to manage storage

systems and hosts.

Removing P9000 Command View AE Software also deletes associated properties files, database

files, log files, and other files belonging to the following components:

• Device Manager server

• Replication Manager server

• Tiered Storage Manager server

•

Common Component

• Host Data Collector

The Common Component files are deleted only if there are no products that require Common

Component on the management servers.

In addition, removing P9000 Command View AE Software deletes any files and subdirectories or

folders added to the installation directory after the installation.

Prerequisites for removing P9000 Command View AE Software server

If you are installing P9000 Command View AE Software on another management server, or if you

are continuing system operation with P9000 Command View AE Software products installed on a

different system, export the database before removing P9000 Command View AE Software.
