#: When migrating from the Tiered Storage Manager GUI using an existing migration group or when using the Tiered Storage Manager
CLI, allocate All Resources to the user group. In addition, when migrating from the Tiered Storage Manager GUI using an existing
migration group, change the client.migration.use.legacymode property in the Device Manager client.properties file
to true (default is false), and restart all services.

Using event notifications
You can use event notifications in Tiered Storage Manager after upgrading P9000 Command View
AE Software from 7.1.0 or earlier.
To use event notifications:
1. In the server.properties file for Device Manager, set the following.
• server.mail.enabled
• server.mail.smtp.host
• server.mail.from
• server.mail.errorsTo
• server.mail.smtp.port
• server.mail.smtp.auth
• server.eventNotification.mail.to
2. Register SMTP authenticated users to Device Manager.
3. Customize the email template (optional).
