Before installing P9000 Command View AE Software on a SUSE Linux Enterprise Server system, set
the shell restrictions for the /etc/security/limits.conf file. Set the shell restrictions for soft
and hard settings.
NOTE:
The soft value must be less than or equal to the hard value.
The values for these settings depend on which of the following P9000 Command View AE Software
products you are installing:
Common Component
Device Manager
Tiered Storage Manager
Replication Manager
The following tables show the shell restrictions values you need to set. The formula for calculating
these values follows the tables.
