information datasets” (page 40). For details about license information dataset names, see
“Naming for license information datasets” (page 40).
2. Start Business Continuity Manager.
3. Display the Main Menu panel and select 2 Manage Licenses.
The Manage Licenses panel appears.
4. In the Manage Licenses panel, enter the key code in the Key Code field and press Enter.
The key code is installed in the license information dataset as the license key.
The YK9001I message is output if the license key is installed correctly.

Notes when operating license keys
Notes when operating license keys are as follows:
You cannot use license keys obtained for Business Continuity Manager 5.03 or earlier.
Do not delete the license information dataset. Business Continuity Manager requires the license
information dataset, and if it is deleted, Business Continuity Manager cannot be used.
Do not use editors or similar applications to edit the license information dataset. Doing so
may result in Business Continuity Manager becoming inoperable.
If the specified license key is invalid, all or part of Business Continuity Manager will not be
available. Make sure that you enter the correct license key.
If an I/O error occurs in the license dataset, it is assumed that no license key exists.
If you use the YKSETENV command to set or change the license information dataset name
while Business Continuity Manager is running, CLI commands that are being executed will be
executed using the previously set value. The set or updated license information dataset name
will take effect once the YKLOAD command is executed.
Hyphens cannot be used for the license key dataset name.
Temporary license keys and emergency license keys that exceed a license period of 17
September 2042 cannot be installed.
