Business Continuity Manager shares a User SVC, environment variables, and system symbols with Tiered Storage Manager for
Mainframe. Therefore, you need to take this into consideration in environments in which Tiered Storage Manager for Mainframe
is installed. For details, see “Notes when Tiered Storage Manager for Mainframe is installed” (page 46)

Settings for using CLI commands in TSO/E environments
Business Continuity Manager provides TSO/E commands such as YKBLDCMD, YKMAKE, and
YKSUSPND. These commands require access to services granted on MVS in order to perform I/Os
to offline devices.
To allow access and to make these commands available in a TSO/E environment:
1. Concatenate the HPQYLNKT library (the load library where CLI commands are stored) to
LNKLST.
Add the HPQYLNKT library to the PROGxx parmlib member as a data set to be
concatenated to LNKLST.
Use the SETPROG LNKLST command to dynamically concatenate to LNKLST.
For details on the SETPROG command, see the manual MVS System Commands.
The library can be concatenated via either of the following:
2. Register the HPQYLNKT library for APF authorization.
The library can be registered via either of the following:
Add the HPQYLNKT library to the PROGxx parmlib member as a data set to be authorized
as APF.
Use the SETPROG APF,ADD command to dynamically register APF authorization.
For details on the SETPROG command, see the MVS System Commands manual.
NOTE: Note: LNKLST has APF authorization by default. For this reason, you do not have to
perform Step 2if the HPQYLNKT library was concatenated to LNKLST in Step 1. Note that
there are exceptions to this rule as well. For details on APF authorization related to LNKLST,
see the MVS Initialization and Tuning Reference manual.
