2 Installing Business Continuity Manager
This chapter provides installation preparations and procedures, environment setup procedures,
and version upgrade procedures.

Preparing for installation
The sections below describe the preparations required for installing Business Continuity Manager.
Types of distribution media
Business Continuity Manager is available through both of the following distribution media:
• Tape
• CD-ROM
In tape-based distribution, the standard label format is used. The volume serial number is HPQYK.
Provided datasets
Table 5 (page 13) lists the datasets that are provided on the SMP/E installation tape.
