HP XP P9000 for Business Continuity Manager Software Installation Guide

Installing a license
In Business Continuity Manager versions 5.0 to 5.3, a license obtained in Business Continuity
Manager versions 4.0 to 4.2 is treated as follows:
A permanent license can be used without reinstallation.
A temporary license or emergency license cannot be used as they are. They need to be
reinstalled.
Specifying Business Continuity Manager log output destination (LOGPUT)
Business Continuity Manager earlier than version 4.2 does not support the &YKLOGPT system
symbol. Therefore, in an environment where Business Continuity Manager earlier than version 4.2
and Business Continuity Manager 4.2 or later exist, to specify the Business Continuity Manager
log output method, HP recommends that you execute the YKSETENV command with the LOGPUT
parameter specified.
Specifying whether to output the CLI command-execution logs (SYSLOG)
The output method of the CLI command-execution logs is determined by the combination of the
value set by the YKSETENV command, the value set by the &YKSYSLG system symbol, and the
version of Business Continuity Manager to be used.
The following table lists whether to output the CLI command-execution logs and the output destination
determined by the combination of the value set by the YKSETENV command, the value set by
&YKSYSLG, and the version of Business Continuity Manager.
NOTE:
The settings made by &YKSYSLG are enabled in Business Continuity Manager 5.1 or later
versions.
The SYSLOG=CONSOLE setting of the YKSETENV command and the CONSOLE setting specified
by &YKSYSLG are enabled in Business Continuity Manager 7.6 or later versions.
