B Notes on upgrading Business Continuity Manager
This chapter provides notes on upgrading Business Continuity Manager.
When upgrading Business Continuity Manager from a version earlier than
6.6.1 to 6.6.1 or later
In Business Continuity Manager version 6.6.1 or later, when the YKIMPORT command is executed,
the P-VOLs and S-VOLs of copy pairs to be defined are automatically checked to see whether their
capacities are the same.
If the P-VOL and S-VOL capacities are not the same, the YKJ215E message is output and the copy
group definition file is not created. If a volume capacity cannot be acquired, the YKJ214W message
is output and the copy group definition file is created.
To define a copy pair without checking the capacities of its volumes (as is the case in Business
Continuity Manager versions earlier than 6.6.1), specify NOCHECK for the CAPACITY parameter
of the YKIMPORT command.
When upgrading Business Continuity Manager from a version earlier than
6.7.1 to 6.7.1 or later
Note the following when upgrading to Business Continuity Manager version 6.7.1 or later.
Route Config panel
From the Route Config panel, when you select a route list definition file and edit it, the route list
definition files for the route list IDs that are not selected are also loaded. If there are any unnecessary
route list definition files, delete them.
If there is an error in a route list definition file for a route list ID that is not selected, the Exception
Message panel is displayed. By closing the Exception Message panel, you can edit a selected
route list definition file.
Route list structure
Because multiple command device line definitions are now supported, the route list structure has
been changed. If a REXX variable shown in the following table is in a route list structure that is
referenced by a script that is in a version of Business Continuity Manager earlier than 6.7.1, and
multiple command device lines are defined for a route, the script must be edited.
