Notes:
1. Communication using IPv6 is supported even when using FTP with the CLI. For details, see the
HP XP7 Replication Manager Application Agent CLI User Guide.
2. If either of the following conditions apply when installing Device Manager agent:
• The version of Device Manager agent is earlier than 6.4.
• The version of RAID Manager is earlier than 01-17-03/05.
You must configure the following setting in the Device Manager properties (server.properties)
file:
server.agent.rm.optimization.userHorcmFile=true
If you do not add this value, Replication Manager might not be able to acquire pair, pool, and
journal information. For details on editing the properties file, see the HP XP7 Command View
Advanced Edition Installation and Configuration Guide.
3. Dynamic disks are not supported. For details about dynamic disk configurations supported by
the Application Agent CLI, see the HP XP7 Replication Manager Application Agent CLI User
Guide. For details about Device Manager agent versions that correspond to each OS, see the
Device Manager Release Notes.
4. Provided as a guest OS of virtual server product Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V is also supported.
To execute Application Agent on the virtual server, configure the virtual server as the recommended
configuration.
5. The Server Core feature is not supported.
6. Provided as a guest OS of virtual server product VMware ESX/ESXi Server 4.x and 5 are also
supported. However, VMware FT is not supported. To execute Application Agent on the virtual
server, configure the virtual server using the recommended configuration described in the
manual.
7. LDM basic structure is supported.
Dynamic disks are not supported. For details about dynamic disk configurations supported by
the Application Agent CLI, see the HP XP7 Replication Manager Application Agent CLI User
Guide.
8. This is supported when using the Application Agent CLI.
9. Application Agent does not support the Veritas Dynamic Multiple Pathing function.
10. Configurations including storage pools are not supported.
11. Operation on Minimal Server Interface is not supported.
