1. Use this formula to determine the number of LDEVs and confirm that the number is less than or
equal to the maximum:
(number-of-open-LDEVs * 2) + number-of-mainframe-LDEVs
Log data and number of copy pairs
The amount of log data depends on the number of copy pairs to be managed. You can change the
maximum number of log files and the maximum data size for each log file. For details, see
“logger.properties” on page 93.
System requirements for the management client

that allows you to use the GUI.
NOTE:
When using IPv6, both IPv4 and IPv6 must be enabled on the management server. You can use IPv6
addresses only if they are global addresses.
