DescriptionArgument
Specifies the name of the product from which maintenance information will be
collected. If this option is omitted, information is collected from all XP7 Command
View AE products installed on the management server (which may consume a
great deal of disk space). Use the batch collection command for maintenance
information twice to collect the maintenance information from Replication Manager
and Device Manager separately, or omit the type option to collect the maintenance
information from every XP7 Command View AE product. For details about Device
Manager maintenance information, see the HP XP7 Command View Advanced
Edition Administrator Guide.

AE-product-name
Specifies the name of the archive file to be created. The archive file is output to
the directory specified for the dir option. Do not specify a path for the archive
file name. If you do, the command might terminate abnormally. If this option is
omitted, the archive file name will be cvxpae_logs. When the archive file is
output, this name is suffixed with the extension for the file type (.jar, .hdb.jar,
.db.jar, or .csv.jar).

name
Specifies the types of the log files to be collected if only specific types of log files
can be collected for some reason (such as a failure):
• log (.jar and .hdb.jar)
• db (.db.jar)
• csv (.csv.jar)
When specifying multiple types, separate the types with a space. If the logtypes
option is not specified, all types of log files are collected.
If you specify both the types option and the logtypes option, always specify
log in the logtypes option.

The characters that can be used for specifying arguments are as follows:
A to Z a to z 0 to 9 ! # ' ( ) - . = @ [ ] _ ` { } ~
You can use backslashes (\), forward slashes (/), and colons (:) as path delimiters. In Linux, you can
use forward slashes as path delimiters. Note that you cannot specify spaces in a path in Linux.
Examples of collection commands
To collect only the maintenance information for Replication Manager:
In Windows:
"C:\Program Files\CVXPAE\Base\bin\cvxpaegetlogs" /dir C:\logfile /types

In Linux:
/opt/CVXPAE/Base/bin/cvxpaegetlogs -dir /logfile -types ReplicationMan-

To collect all the maintenance information for XP7 Command View AE products and output it to the
CVXPAE_log output archive file:
In Windows:

In Linux:
