: If the Device Manager server and software products other than the Device Manager, Tiered
Storage Manager, or Replication Manager are used simultaneously, the amount of the physical
memory must be equal to the total memory size of all the software products.
1-1-2 Virtual memory requirements
In order to conduct stable operation of management servers, it is necessary to allocate
virtual memory capacity for HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition products, in addition
to virtual memory capacity for the OS and other programs. If sufficient virtual memory is not
allocated on the management server, HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition products
and other installed programs might become unstable or fail to start up.
For the management server, allocate the total virtual memory capacity of Common
Component plus the sum of the virtual memory capacities of all the installed HP XP7
Command View Advanced Edition products.
The recommended virtual memory capacity for HP XP7 Command View Advanced Edition
products are shown in the following tables.
