HP XP P9000 Replication Manager Software 7.6.0-00 Release Notes

Fixes
The following issues were resolved:
Takeover-recovery (resync) operation for a copy pair of the XP P9000/XP Continuous Access
Journal copy type is now successful, and the RPM-03304 message is no longer generated.
After an overwrite or upgrade installation of Replication Manager, acquisition of storage system
information and operations to refresh configuration information for a Device Manager that is
registered as an information source are now successful.
Execution of a task that adds a copy pair to an XP Business Copy copy group or XP Continuous
Access Synchronous copy group is successful and a KAVN00469-E error does not occur.
The execution results of restore, resync, and delete tasks performed on a copy pair that is managed
by Business Continuity Manager are now correctly applied to the copy pair information in the
Host view and the Storage Systems view.
Even if you execute a restore or resync task for an XP P9000/XP Continuous Access Journal or
XP P9000/XP Continuous Access copy pair that is managed by Business Continuity Manager
and that has a primary or secondary volume whose detailed copy-pair status is Split(SWAPPING),
the storage system name in the pair information in the Storage Systems view and the Host view
is correctly displayed.
The Replication Manager GUI no longer displays incorrect configuration information when a
takeover-recovery (recreate) task is executed.
The Replication Manager GUI now correctly displays copy groups when you execute an advanced
operation task on copy groups whose copy type is XP P9000/XP Continuous Access Journal.
In Storage Systems view, the Remote Storage System link in the JNLGs tab now operates correctly.
If you edit a task that is in the "Warning" status, and then execute the task again, the task now
succeeds, and the RPM-03327 message is no longer generated.
If you use Pair Configuration Wizard to perform operations on a copy group in a multi-target
configuration, the copy pairs contained in the copy group can now be displayed. In addition, if
you delete the copy group, the copy pairs are now deleted without some copy pairs remaining.
When you use VSS to back up a file system from the Application Agent CLI, even if VSS times
out, backup commands no longer remain in an executing status and are now completed correctly.
In a redundant configuration of pair management servers, if you register tasks that change copy
group names, and then edit the tasks to change the order in which the tasks are executed, execution
of those tasks is now successful.
If you use Change Pair Status Wizard to delete some pairs from a copy group whose copy type
is XP P9000/XP Continuous Access Journal and whose status is Simplex, an incorrect JNLGID
(FFFFF) is no longer displayed in 5. Confirm in Change Pair Status Wizard page.
Important considerations
Replacing secondary volumes of Continuous Access Synchronous or Continuous Access
Journal in a 3DC multi-target configuration (open systems)
To replace all the secondary volumes included in a Continuous Access Synchronous or XP P9000/XP
Continuous Access Journal copy pair, launch the Pair Configuration Wizard more than once to replace
the secondary volumes using the following procedure:
1. Generate and execute the replacement tasks to replace half of the secondary volumes of the
Continuous Access Synchronous or XP P9000/XP Continuous Access Journal copy pair.
2. Generate and execute the replacement tasks for the other half of the secondary volumes not
replaced in step 1.
