All CUs radio button, information about all CUs can be displayed on the CLPR
resource list.
• If you select SpecificCU radio b ut ton, information about only the specified CU can be displayed
on
the CLPR
resource list.
• The LDKC d rop-down list can be used to specify LDKC.
• The CU drop-down list can be used to specify CU.
• If you sel
ect Unallocated radio button, only the information about CUs unallocated to CLPR
canbedisplayed on theCLPRresource list.
Deleting Cache Logical Partitions
The CLPRs which are not ne cessary may be deleted. Note that C LPR0 c annot be d eleted.
To delete an CLPR:
1. Right-click the C LPR that you want to delete on the tree to display the pop-up menu.
2. Select Delete CLPR in the pop-up menu to delete the CLPR from the tree. The selected CLPR is
deleted from the tree.
3. Click Apply to apply the settings. The progress bar is displayed.
Note:
To delete the CLPR to which parity groups are allocated, move the parity groups that are allocated
to the
CLPR you are going to delete to another CLPR. Before you delete the CLPR, make sure that no
parity group is allocated to that CLPR.
Partit
ioning and Allocating Licensed Capacit y
If user
s
operate the subsystem with the SLPRs, a storage administrator needs to prepare the operation
accor
ding
to the following procedures. If the license of program products has not b een allocated to an
SLPR,
the
user who is assigned to the SLPR cannot use the program products. For instance, if the license
of
Da
ta Retention has not been allocated to an SLPR, both the storage administrator and the storage
part
ition administrator cannot use the Data Retention. Regarding only Performance Monitor, if the licensed
capa
city for the entire storage is sufficient, the storage administrator can monitor the entire storage with
Per
formance Monitor even if the license of Performance Monitor has not been allocated to the SLPR.
To register the storage partition administrator, you need a user authority for storage
