The Cache Logical Partition Window
When youopenthe PartitionDenition window by using the Remote Web Console main window, the tree
and the resource list are displayed. SLPRs which this subsystem provides are displayed under the tree.
If you select CL
PR fro m the tree, the Par tition Denition window displays the i nformation for CLPR that is
selected. You may dene the parity group or the external volume group, Cache Size, Cache Residency
Size, the number of Cache Residency areas. Figure 12 on page 30 shows an example of the Partition
Denition window when CLPR is selected.

When C LPR is selected from a tree, the Par tition Denition window presents:
CU: indicates the selected CU number.
Selected CU button can display the Select CU dialog box (see Figure 13 on page 36).
Tree indicates SLPRs and CLPRs in the subsystem. The SLPR number and SLPR name are displayed
on the right of the SLPR icon (
). The CLPR number and CLPR name are displayed on the
right of the CLPR icon ( ).
CLPR resource list on the right side of the tree: displays the information for specied CLPR.
No.: Ro w number
Resource Type: Type of resources of CLPR. Parity Group is displayed in this column.
Address: Address of parity group. If the ad dress begins with the letter E (for example, E1-1),
the
parity group contains external volumes.
If the
address begi ns with the letter V (for example, V1-1), the p arity group contains virtual
volumes for HP StorageWorks XP Snapshot. If the address begins with the letter X (for
example, X1-1) , the parity g roup contains virtual volumes for HP StorageWorks XP Thin
Provisioning Software.
