1-6 Products related to Device Manager
This section describes the products related to Device Manager.
1-6-1 XP Tiered Storage Manager
XP Tiered Storage Manager transfers data to an appropriate storage subsystem according to the
characteristics (such as the importance and access frequency) of that data. XP Tiered Storage
Manager software optimizes the arrangement of data in an environment in which multiple storage
subsystems have been centralized by using XP24000/XP20000 and XP12000/XP10000/SVS200.
XP Tiered Storage Manager GUI can be displayed from Device Manager web client. For details on
XP Tiered Storage Manager, see the XP Tiered Storage Manager documentation.

1-6-2 XP Replication Manager
XP Replication Manager displays the copy pair configuration of a system in an easy to understand
format, and allows the user to examine the configuration at the level of hosts, storage subsystems,
or pair configurations. XP Replication Manager can also be set to automatically notify the user when
errors are detected. The XP Replication Manager GUI can be displayed from Device Manager web

1-6-3 Hitachi Dynamic Link Manager
Hitachi Dynamic Link Manager manages the storage access paths to and from the host on which it
is installed. The Hitachi Dynamic Link Manager GUI can be displayed from Device Manager web
client only if the GUI has been set up in Hitachi Dynamic Link Manager. For details on Hitachi

HP Storage Essentials acts as the main console for heterogeneous storage infrastructure
management software, providing SAN visualization and reporting, asset management, performance
and capacity monitoring and planning, and policy-driven event management.
