Windows Installer logging ended.
Application Agent log entries related to VSS Provider
In the Application Agent installer log file, check whether the following data has been output to the
log. If the data has been output, an error occurred during a VSS Provider installation or uninstallation.
If that is the case, check the VSS Provider installer log file to view the details of the error.

Resolving Application Agent operation errors
Application Agent is set up to support application linkage on hosts (database and backup servers).
If an error occurs during user operation, an error message provides information indicating the host
where the error occurred, regardless of whether that host is a database or backup server. For this
reason, you must collect information about the host on which the error occurred. But when multiple
agents are installed (such as Device Manager Agent), it is necessary to collect information about other
agents that are stored on the management server (for use by Replication Manager) as follows:
• On hosts where both Device Manager Agent and Application Agent are installed, run both the
cvxpaegetlogs command on the management server and hrmap_getras command on the
host where Application Agent is installed.
• On hosts where only Application Agent is installed, you need only run the hrmap_getras com-
mand.
For more information, see “Collecting support information with the hrpmap_getras
command” on page 103 and “Collecting maintenance information” on page 98.
