• Peer: This role is only for Device Manager agents and file server management software and cannot

be assigned to a resource group. This role does not allow a user to log in to P9000 Command

View AE Software or view resource information.

User permissions in P9000 Command View AE Software products other than

Device Manager

You can assign one of these permissions to a P9000 Command View AE Software user account.

User management permissions:

• Admin allows the user to manage users and security for all P9000 Command View AE Software

products. This permission can be set in conjunction with assigned roles for each product.

Operation permissions for Tiered Storage Manager Software:

NOTE:

All Resources must be assigned as the Device Manager resource group to Tiered Storage Manager

users. You must also assign Device Manager roles to Tiered Storage Manager users.

• Admin: Allows the user to view information about Tiered Storage Manager resources and tasks.

• Modify: Allows the user to perform any operation from Tiers on the Resources tab, and migrate

volumes.

• Execute: Allows the user to view information about Tiered Storage Manager Software resources

and execute Tiered Storage Manager Software tasks.

• View: Allows the user to view information about Tiered Storage Manager Software resources and

tasks.

Operation permissions for Replication Manager Software:

• Admin: Allows the user to perform any operation within a resource group, with the exception of

user management.

• Modify: Allows the user to manage resources within a resource group, as well as resources that

have been granted by a user with Admin permissions.

• View: Allows the user to view any resources within a resource group that have been granted by

a user with Admin permissions.
