3. Start the P9000 Command View AE Suite product services.
In Windows:
Select Start > All Programs > HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite > Manage
Services > Start.

Settings for displaying parity group usage
By linking to PA, you can check the parity group usage on the GUI or CLI of Tiered Storage Manager.
The following describes the prerequisites for displaying the parity group usage.
PA has been set up.
For details about the system requirements and setup method, see the PA manual.
Environment settings have been configured on the Tiered Storage Manager server
To configure environment settings required for the Tiered Storage Manager server:
1. Stop the P9000 Command View AE Suite product services.
In Windows:
Select Start > All Programs > HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite > Manage
Services > Stop.
In Linux:
installation-directory-of-Common-Component/bin/hcmdssrv -stop
2. Edit the hppa.properties file to set up the environment.
3. Start the P9000 Command View AE Suite product services.
In Windows:
Select Start > All Programs > HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite > Manage
Services > Start.
In Linux:
installation-directory-of-Common-Component/bin/hcmdssrv -start
4. Use the Device Manager GUI or CLI to refresh the target storage system.
When a storage system is refreshed, Tiered Storage Manager software acquires the performance
information collected and summarized by PA.
Settings for linking with Storage Essentials
To start Storage Essentials from GUI, you must create the StorageEssentials.conf file and store
it in the following location:
In Windows:
installation-folder-for-Common-Component\common
In Linux:
installation-directory-for-Common-Component/common
In the StorageEssentials.conf file, specify the LaunchURL parameter in the following format:
