7. Edit the HiRDB.ini file.
Change the value for the PDHOST parameter to the loopback address 127.0.0.1.
• In Windows:
installation-folder-for-Common-Component\HDB\CONF\emb\HiRDB.ini
• In Linux:
installation-directory-for-Common-Component/HDB/conf/emb/HiRDB.ini
8. Edit the cluster.conf file (only for a cluster configuration).
Change the corresponding logical host name, executing node's host name, and standby node's
host name to the new host names.

9. Change the host name for the management server, and then restart the computer.
If you have changed the host name for the management server before changing the Common
Component settings files, just restart the computer.
10. Make sure that the P9000 Command View AE Suite product services are running properly.
• In Windows:
Select Start > All Programs > HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite > Manage
Services > Status.
• In Linux:
installation-directory-for-Common-Component/bin/hcmdssrv -status
11. If the host name is used in the URLs for accessing P9000 Command View AE Suite products,
change the setting.
For details on how to change the URLs, see section “Changing the URLs for accessing P9000
Command View AE Suite products ” on page 82.
12. Depending on the operating environment, review the P9000 Command View AE Suite product
settings.
For details about the settings that need to be changed, see section “Settings required after
changing the IP address or host name of the management server” on page 81.
13. Back up the database.
If you change the host name, the data that you backed up can no longer be used. For details
about backing up the database, see section “Backing up the database” on page 183.
Settings required after changing the IP address or host name of the management
server
This section describes the settings required in Device Manager, Tiered Storage Manager, and
Replication Manager for the operating environment that exists after you change the IP address or host
name of the management server. For details about the settings for other P9000 Command View AE
Suite products, see the manuals for the relevant products.
• When the old host name or IP address is specified for the server.http.host property:
You need to replace the old host name or IP address with the new host name or IP address, and
then restart the services of P9000 Command View AE Suite products.
• When the Device Manager agent is used:
