3. Edit the pdsys file and the def_pdsys file.
If the old IP address is specified for the -x option of the pdunit parameter, change the IP address
to the loopback address 127.0.0.1.

4. Edit the pdutsys file and the def_pdutsys file.
If the old IP address is specified for the pd_hostname parameter, change the IP address to the
loopback address 127.0.0.1.

• In Linux:

NOTE:
If the management server is running in a cluster configuration, you also need to change the
IP address specified for the pd_hostname parameter to the loopback address 127.0.0.1
on the standby node .
5. Edit the HiRDB.ini file.
If the old IP address is specified for the PDHOST parameter, change the IP address to the loopback
address 127.0.0.1.
• In Windows:
installation-folder-for-Common-Component\HDB\CONF\emb\HiRDB.ini
• In Linux:
installation-directory-for-Common-Component/HDB/conf/emb/HiRDB.ini
6. Change the IP address of the management server, and then restart the computer.
If the IP address of the management server has already been changed before you change the
Common Component settings files, just restart the computer.
7. Make sure that the HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite product
services are running properly.
• In Windows:
Select Start > All Programs > HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite > Manage
Services > Status.
• In Linux:
installation-directory-for-Common-Component/bin/hcmdssrv -status
