This section describes the property files of a Device Manager agent.
Overview of the Device Manager agent properties
The following table describes the Device Manager agent properties.

DescriptionProperty file
This property file is used for specifying the Device Man-
ager agent operations when the Device Manager agent
is linked with the Replication Manager server.
agent.properties file
This property file is used for specifying the hldutil
command operations.
hldutil.properties file
This property file is used for specifying the logger function-
ality of the Device Manager agent.
logger.properties file
This property file is used for specifying program informa-
tion.
programproductinfo.properties file
This property file is used for specifying the Device Man-
ager agent operations.
server.properties file
If you change settings in the Device Manager agent property files, you need to restart the Device
manager agent service to enable the changes.
Properties related to linking with the Replication Manager
server
The agent.properties file contains properties related to linking with the Replication Manager
server.
• In Windows:
installation-folder-for-Device-Manager-agent\mod\hrpm\config\
agent.properties
• In Solaris, Linux, or HP-UX:
/opt/HDVM/HBaseAgent/mod/hrpm/config/agent.properties
• In AIX:
