2. Restart the P9000 Command View AE Suite product services.
In Windows:
Select Start > All Programs > HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite > Manage
Services > Stop.
Select Start > All Programs > HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite > Manage
Services > Start.
In Linux:
installation-directory-for-Common-Component/bin/hcmdssrv -stop
installation-directory-for-Common-Component/bin/hcmdssrv -start
Changing the port number
The following port numbers are used by the CIM/WBEM features. During a new installation of P9000
Command View AE Suite, HTTPS port 5989 is set for the CIM/WBEM function.
• HTTP port number: 5988
• HTTPS port number: 5989
To specify the port number, follow the steps below:
1. Change the port number set in the Device Manager server property file (server.properties).
To change the HTTP port number:
Change the port number set in server.cim.http.port.
To change the HTTPS port number:
Change the port number set in server.cim.https.port.
2. Restart the P9000 Command View AE Suite product services.
In Windows:
Select Start > All Programs > HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite > Manage
Services > Stop.
Select Start > All Programs > HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite > Manage
Services > Start.
In Linux:
installation-directory-for-Common-Component/bin/hcmdssrv -stop
installation-directory-for-Common-Component/bin/hcmdssrv -start
Properties file settings for executing CIM
To use CIM, Device Manager server property files must be configured and P9000 Command View
AE Suite product services must be restarted.
Among the property files that must be configured to use CIM, some are automatically configured when
a new installation of P9000 Command View AE Suite is performed, and others must be configured
by the user after the installation.
Before executing CIM, make sure that the following properties in the server.properties file have
been set.
• server.cim.agent
•
server.cim.support
#
• server.cim.support.job
