HP P9000 Tiered Storage Manager Software 7.2 Release Notes
3. Delete the failure status migration pair.
Execute the DeleteMigrationPair command to delete the failure status migration pair.
See the CLI command help for details about the DeleteMigrationPair command.
For example, to perform data migration from 00:0A:01 to 00:0A:02 on a P9500 with a serial
number of 12345, enter the following command:
>HiCommandCLI DeleteMigrationPair model=P9500 serialnum=12345
sourcedevnum=00:0A:01 targetdevnum=00:0A:02
The command displays the following message:
RESPONSE:
(Command completed; empty list returned)
About 5 minutes after the migration pair is successfully removed, the data migration task terminates
with KAIC15001–E displayed on the GUI. When the removal of a migration pair does not
complete, wait for a while and re-enter the DeleteMigrationPair command. If the migration
pair removal repeatedly does not complete, contact HP Technical Support.
4. Release the reserved migration target volumes.
To release the reserved target volumes for the removed migration pair, refresh the storage system
in which the target volumes reside.
About 5 minutes after the refresh of the storage system succeeds, make sure that the
migration-reserved attributes of the target volumes are released from the volume list or volume
details.
5. Execute the data migration task again.
To ensure successful completion of the migration task, schedule the migration task for a time when
the I/O status of the source volume is not busy.
Migrating Mainframe THP volumes
If a Mainframe THP volume is migrated with optional shredding specified, the volume is not deleted
after the shredding. If necessary, delete the volume by using Element Manager.
The zero page reclaim option has no effect in migrations that have a Mainframe THP volume specified
as a target. The storage system automatically executes a zero page reclaim.
