Disk space for Replication Monitor log files (5.x upgrade only)
To determine the space required for backing up the Replication Monitor log file, use the following
formula (which uses the settings in the logger.properties file)
logger.MaxBackupIndex * logger.MaxFileSize
For details about the logger.properties file, see logger.properties on page 92.
NOTE:
The configuration must always be refreshed when Replication Monitor is upgraded from v5.x to v7.x
Resource Limits
The maximum number of resources that can be managed by Replication Manager depends on the
memory heap size (Small, Medium, or Large). Set an appropriate memory heap size, depending on
the maximum number for each resource.
NOTE:
If you are using a Windows 32-bit environment, you cannot set Large as a memory heap size.
For details about how to increase the memory heap size, see the HP P9000 Command View Advanced
Edition Suite Software Installation and Configuration Guide.
This section discusses the following:
Maximum number of copy pairs, page 37
Maximum number of LDEVs, page 37
Log data and number of copy pairs, page 38
NOTE:
Mainframe system resources managed by P9000 RAID Manager must be managed as open system
resources. See Prerequisites for managing copy pairs on mainframe systems using P9000 RAID
Manager on page 25 for more information.
