Absolute path of the JDK (java.exe) to be used
To change the JDK used by Host Data Collector:
1. Stop the Host Data Collector Base service.
Host-Data-Collector-installation-destination\HDC\Base\bin\
controlservice.exe stop
2. Add the absolute path of the JDK to the javapathlocation property in the
javaconfig.properties file for Host Data Collector.
3. Start the Host Data Collector Base service.
Host-Data-Collector-installation-destination\HDC\Base\bin\
controlservice.exe start
The JDK used by Host Data Collector is changed to specified-path\bin\java.exe.

Checking the Host Data Collector version
In Windows, use the hdc_info command to check the version of Host Data Collector.
To check the Host Data Collector version:
Execute the following command:
Host-Data-Collector-installation-destination\HDC\Base\bin\hdc_info.exe
Removing Host Data Collector
You can remove Host Data Collector if it is no longer being used for host management. Removing
Host Data Collector deletes all property files, log files, and other related files.
Removing Host Data Collector (Windows)
You can remove Host Data Collector if it is no longer needed for host management. From the Windows
menu, choose Add or Remove Programs to remove Host Data Collector.

To remove Host Data Collector in a Windows environment:
1. In the dialog box that can be displayed by choosing Start, Settings, Control Panel, and then Add
or Remove Programs, select Host Data Collector, and then click the Remove button.
2. Follow the instructions in the removal wizard.
