1 Minimum Firmware Versions 1.1 Overview The tables in this document list the minimum firmware versions that are required for the correct operation of HP XC System Software Version 4.0. HP recommends that you install the latest released firmware version which may be newer than the versions listed in this document.
Table 1-1 Minimum Firmware Versions for ProCurve Switches Switch Model Minimum Firmware Version ProCurve Switch 2610 11.04 ProCurve Switch 2650 H.07.57 In firmware version H.07.57, the protocol for discovering neighboring switches changed from Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) to Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP). If one switch is installed with this version or a later firmware version, and thus is using the LLDP protocol, all switches in the XC system must be running this or a later firmware version.
