4.1.1 Kickstart Boot Options for Certain Hardware Models
If any of the following hardware models are used as a head node, you must include the
clock=pmtmr option on the Kickstart boot command line:
• HP ProLiant DL145 G3
• HP ProLiant DL385 G2
• HP ProLiant DL585 G2
• HP ProLiant DL365
• HP ProLiant DL145 G2
• HP ProLiant BL465c
• HP ProLiant BL685c
These hardware models will be added to Table 2-7 "Kickstart Boot Command Line" and Table
2–8 “Additional Boot Command Line Options for Server Blades” in the HP XC System Software
Installation Guide the next time the guide is published.
4.2 Manual Installation Required for NC510F Driver
The unm_nic driver is provided with the HP XC software distribution, however, it does not load
correctly.
If your system has a NC510F 10 GB Ethernet card, run the following commands to load the driver:
# depmod -a
# modprobe -v unm_nic
Then, edit the /etc/modprobe.conf file and specify unm as the driver for the eth device
assigned to the NC510F driver.
