This chapter describes the new and changed features delivered in HP XC System Software Version
3.2.1.

1.2 Support for Additional Hardware
Beginning with this release, the following additional HP hardware models and third-party
hardware components are supported in an HP XC hardware configuration:
• Cisco InfiniBand switch models:
— 7000D (24 port)
— 7012D (144 port)
— 7024D (288 port)
• Mellanox ConnectX® IB InfiniBand Host Channel Adapter (HCA) card
IMPORTANT: Support for the ConnectX adapter card is only available through the use of
the optional OFED 1.2.5 patch. You can download the patch from the HP IT Resource Center
(ITRC) website. Installation instructions are contained in the patch README file.
