9. Perform this step on all nodes except the head node. From the Boot Menu screen, which is
displayed during the power on of the node, select the Boot Configuration Menu.
Do the following from the Boot Configuration Menu:
a. Select Add Boot Entry.
b. Select Load File [Core LAN Gb A] as the network boot choice, which is a Gigabit
Ethernet (GigE) port.
c. Enter the string Netboot as the boot option description. This entry is required and
must be set to the string Netboot (with a capital letter N).
d. Press the Enter key for no boot options.
e. If prompted, save the entry to NVRAM.

came with your model of HP Integrity server.
10. Perform this step on all nodes except the head node. From the Boot Configuration menu,
select the Edit OS Boot Order option.
Do the following:
a. Use the navigation instructions on the screen to move the Netboot entry you just
defined to the top of the boot order.
b. If prompted, press the Enter key to select the position.
c. Enter x to return to the Boot Configuration menu.
11. Perform this step on all nodes, including the head node. Select the Console Configuration
option, and do the following:
a. Select the Select Input Console option to enable console messages to be displayed on
the screen when you turn on the system:
1) Enable the Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(1|1)/Uart(9600
N81)/VenMsg(Vt100+) option.
2) If prompted, save the entry to NVRAM.
3) Enter x to return to the previous menu.
b. Select the Select Output Console option to enable console messages to be displayed
on the screen when you turn on the system:
1) Enable the Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(1|1)/Uart(9600
N81)/VenMsg(Vt100+) option.
2) Enable the Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(4|0) option on rx4640 servers, and enable
the Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(2|0) option on rx2620 servers.
3) If prompted, save the entry to NVRAM.
4) Enter to return to the previous menu.
c. Select the Select Standard Error Console option to enable console messages to be
displayed on the screen when you turn on the system.
1) Enable the Acpi(HWP0002,0)/Pci(1|1)/Uart(9600 N81)/VenMsg(Vt100+)
option.
2) Enable the Acpi(HWP0002,0)/Pci(2|0) option.
3) If prompted, save the entry to NVRAM.
d. Press the Esc key or enter x as many times as necessary to return to the Boot
Configuration menu.
12. Turn off power to the node:
a. Press Ctrl+b to exit the console mode.
b. Enter CM to display the Command Menu.
c. Enter PC and enter off to turn off power to the node.
