2.4.3 Install Optional Linux RPMs
Follow this procedure to install additional, optional Linux RPMs from the HP XC distribution
DVD:
1. If the DVD is not already mounted, insert the installation DVD into the DVD drive and
mount it on the default location (the default location is the /media/cdrom directory):
# mount /dev/cdrom
2. Change to the following directory:
# cd /media/cdrom/LNXHPC/RPMS
3. Find the Linux RPM you want to install and issue the appropriate command to install it.
Depending on the RPM you want to install, you will issue a command similar to the following:
# rpm -ivh rpm_name_version.noarch.rpm
4. Unmount the DVD:
# cd
# umount /dev/cdrom
2.5 You Are Done
You have completed the installation of the HP XC System Software on the head node.
Proceed to Chapter 3 to configure the system topology, set up the system environment, start
system services, and synchronize the system image across all nodes.
