Enable the Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(2|0) option.i.
ii. Save the setting to the NVRAM.
iii. Select Exit to return to the Boot Option Maintenance Menu.
c. Select the Select Active Standard Error Devices option from the Boot Option
Maintenance Menu to enable console messages to be displayed on the screen when you turn
on the system.
i. Enable the Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(1|1)/Uart(9600 N81)/VenMsg(Vt100+)
option.
ii. Enable the Acpi(HWP0002,700)/Pci(2|0) option.
iii. Save the setting to the NVRAM.
iv. Select Exit to return to the Boot Option Maintenance Menu.
d. Select the Cold Reset menu option to apply changes.
12. Turn off power to the node:
a. Press Ctrl+b to exit console mode.
b. Enter CM to display the Command Menu.
c. Enter PC to turn off power to the node.

The callouts on Figure 3-12 enumerate the following:
1. The port labeled LAN 10/100 is the MP connection to the ProCurve Console Switch.
2. The port labeled LAN Gb A connects to the Administration Switch (branch or root).
3. The port labeled LAN Gb B is used for an external connection.
Figure 3-13 shows a rear view of the HP Integrity rx4640 server and the appropriate port assignments for
an HP XC system.
