A password must contain a com bination of uppercase and lowercase letters.
At least one of the first six characters in a password must be a number, a special character,
or an uppercase letter.
HP reco mm ends, but does not m andate, that you use a com bin ation of numbers and special
characters such as the dollar sign ($), the percent sign (%), the number sign (#), the period
(.), the hyphen (-), the underscore (_), or the at sign ( @) in a password. If you do not
use a special character or num ber in the password, at least one of the first six characters
must be an uppercase letter o r a number.
When choo sing a p assword, do not use any the following:
Single words found in any d ictionary in any language.
Personal information ab out you or your family or significant others such as first and last
names, addresses, birth dates, telephone nu mb ers, n ames of pets, an d so on.
Any combination of single words in th e diction ary and personal information.
An obvious sequence of numbers or letters, such as 789 or xyz.
