Manpages
Manpages provide online reference and command info rmation from the command line.
Manpages a re supplied with the HP XC system for standard HP XC com po nent s , Linux user
commands, LSF commands, and other software compo nents th at are d istribu ted with the HP
XC system .
Manpages for third-party vendor software components may be provided as a part of the
deliverables for that component.
Using the discover
(8) manpage as an example, you can use either of the following commands
to display a manpage:
$ man discover
$ man 8 discover
If you are not sure about a command you need to use, enter the man command with the -k
option to obtain a list of commands that are related to the keyword. For example:
# man -k keyword
