Comment lines, each beginning with the # character
A node designator
Lines that begin with the characters #% followed b
y a node desig nato r indicate that the
following m oun ting i nstructions pertain only t
o the specified nodes. For exam ple, the n ode
designator #% n2 specifies that all subsequ
ent lines apply to the node n2, until either another
node designator or the end of file is reache
d.
You can also specify a range of nodes as described in Section 1.4.2. For example, the following
node designator specifies nodes n60, n61, n62,andn63.
#% n[60-63]
The file systems can be:
External to the node, but internal to the HP XC system. Section 14.3 describes this situation.
The use of csys is strongly recommen ded. See the csys
(5) m anpag e for more information.
External to the HP XC system. Section 14.4
describes this situation.
NFS mounting is recom mended for remote file system mounting.
14.3 Mounting Internal File Systems Throughout the HP XC
System
This section illustrat e s how to m ount
a file system on a disk on one n ode of the HP XC system
to other nodes in the HP XC system usin
g the follow ing example: Consider an HP XC sy stem
whose nodes have th e p refix n.Afil
e system is resident on a disk attached to n60 (this node
has the disk_io role); the device
name of that file system is /dev/sdb1. The task is to
mount the file system rem otely on
nodes n61, n62,andn63 at the mou nt point /scratch.
Figure 14-1 depicts the relatio
nship amon g the nodes.
