6.3.3 release
Enhancements
The intent of the 6.3.3 release was to resolve key issues found in earlier releases.

• 6Gb SAS switch firmware 3.5.5.0 (9730)
• 1210m controller firmware version 1.80 (9730)
• D6000 disk enclosure firmware 2.38 (9730)
• P2000 G3 MSA storage controller firmware T250R17-01 (9320)
• DL380 G7 NC55x NIC version 4.6.247.5 (9300, 9320)
• BL460c G7 LOM version 4.6.247.5 (9730, X9720)
• HPDA firmware for EG0146FARTR and HPDF firmware for EG0146FAWHU hard disk drives
(146 GB drives for 9300 and 9320)
• HPD8 firmware for EG09000FBVFQ hard disk drive (P2000 900 GB SAS drive for 9320)
Fixes
• Updated the SAS switch firmware so that the expander within the switch no longer fails. Previously,
the failure caused one path to half of the drives connected to the switch to be lost.
• Updated the SAS switch firmware to fix a rare occurrence of the SAS switch reporting there are
no ports. This was caused by the SAS proxy server hanging, which caused the Virtual SAS
Manager to be unable to see ports.
• Trustee members of the access token group are now allowed to archive files on an SMB/CIFS
share using Enterprise Vault tools.
• Mounting a file system now completes successfully after running the ibrix_fsck command on
a file system that contained one or more corrupt segments. Previously, the mount would fail and
the error message unknown filesystem type 'ibrix' would display.
• Updated the P2000 G3 MSA storage controller firmware to include multiple fixes and
enhancements.
• If you did not configure Phone Home and are upgrading from StoreAll OS 6.1, the cluster will
now be discovered by HP SIM, ensuring that the Fusion Manager is detected by HP SIM and that
you can receive remote support.
• Added steps to archive and purge the events database (all events) in the auto upgrade script.
This prevents a large events database from causing the upgrade to fail during the "Upgrading
Embedded databases" stage. Just before the purge occurs, the last 100 events are archived in
the /tmp/dbevent.log file (by executing the ibrix_event –l command within the upgrade
script). If you want to keep a record of more than the last 100 events or prefer the format of the
output provided by the ibrix_event –i command (available since version 6.1), HP recommends
that you archive events before you initiate an upgrade, as shown by the following sample
commands:
ibrix_event –i –n 21474883647 > /local/ibrix_event_i_all.log
