4.00.0a HP StoreEasy 3000 Storage Release Notes (B7D88-96167, April 2014)

When discovery is in progress on clustered systems and if you click the remote node in the tree
view (the left navigation pane), then after the discovery is complete the tree view is empty.
To view the remote node tree view, click the local node and then click the remote node.
When assigning a range of VLAN IDs to a Team, if the incremental value is blank, then NCT
proceeds to the next page without any prompts, even if:
There are invalid inputs.
No VLAN ID is assigned to that particular Team.
Ensure that you specify the incremental value whenever you assign a range of VLAN IDs to a
Team.
If you click Previous after entering the details in the Team Configuration page, the Network
Interface Settings page is displayed. However, when you navigate back to the Team Configuration
page, 0 (zero) is displayed in Number of Teams.
Whenever you navigate from the Team Configuration page to the Network Interface Settings
page, and then navigate back to the Team Configuration page, enter the appropriate value in
Number of Teams.
A Device Setup Information pop-up box might open after a successful Team creation.
The installation is automatic and user intervention is not required. Do not click Cancel to cancel
the installation. Allow the installation to complete.
The Configure VLAN IDs Now option is not disabled if you do not select any interfaces.
Always select the interfaces when you assign a VLAN ID.
You cannot assign 0 (zero) to a VLAN ID that is assigned to a Team or interface.
A VLAN ID with value 0 cannot be assigned to a Team or interface. Therefore, HP recommends
that you assign a non-zero positive value to the VLAN ID.
Team creation is not reflected in the tree view for remote nodes. Team creation reflects only for
local nodes.
There is no known workaround for this issue.
If you configure Teams or VLANs and then launch NCT from ICT then the following error message
is displayed:
The tool cannot be used for Network configuration if teams or VLANs
already exist. Use the Control Panel to configure the network.
This issue is observed because NCT is intended to configure networking only during the initial
setup.
HP recommends that you configure networking with the available data as NCT is a one time
configuration tool. To make further changes in the configuration, perform one of the following
actions to launch Network control panel:
Double-click the Network Settings shortcut on the desktop.
Click Windows Server ManagerToolsHP StoreEasy and then click the Network Settings
link.
If you want to configure the network again using NCT, then you must delete all Teams and VLANs
using Windows Server Manager. Perform the following steps to delete Teams or VLANs:
1. Launch Windows Server Manager.
2. Select Select Servers.
3. Right-click the server name and select Configure NIC Teaming.
4. Select the Team from the Teams section.
