HP WebQoS Peak for Solaris™ Installation Card
The following is the list of requirements to install HP WebQoS Peak for Solaris™.
Installing HP WebQoS Peak
To install HP WebQoS Peak for Solaris from the CD, do the following:
1. Login as user root.
2. Insert the CD and mount the CDROM drive.
If the drive does not mount automatically, use the command
mount -F hsfs -oro
device mount_point
where
device
is the name of CDROM device and
mount_point
is the name of the directory on which to mount the CDROM. Make sure that
mount_point
exists.
For example, type
mount -F hsfs /dev/dsk/c0t6d0 /cdrom/hpwebqospk.
3. Type pkgadd -d
mount_point
HPWbQoSPk to install the software.
For example, type pkgadd -d /cdrom/hpwebqospk HPWbQoSPk.
4. Type pkginfo -l HPWbQoSPk to verify the installation.
To install HP WebQoS Peak after purchasing and downloading the software from HP Software Depot
(http://software.hp.com), do the following:
1. Go to the directory in which the tar package was downloaded.
For example, type cd /tmp
2. Type tar -xvf HPWbQoSPk.tar to extract the software package.
3. As user root, type pkgadd -d /
directory
HPWbQoSPk to install the software.
For example, if you extracted the software package in the /tmp directory, type pkgadd -d /tmp
HPWbQoSPk.
4. Type pkginfo -l HPWbQoSPk to verify the installation.
