HP WebQoS for Windows
Installation Requirements
You can restore the database from the backup by doing one of the following:
• Return the database to the current state
• Return the database to the state when the backup was made
To return the database to the current state, do the following:
1. Stop the database.
On a Windows NT system, go to the Control Panel and select Services. Highlight
WebQoS DB and click on the Stop button.
On a Windows 2000 system, click on Start -> Programs -> Administrative Tools ->
Services. Highlight WebQoS DB, click on the Action menu, and click on Stop.
2. Copy
<install-directory>
\db\backup\solid.db to
<install-directory>
\db\solid.db
3. Copy all log files (sol
#####
.log) from
<install-directory>
\db\backup to
<install-directory>
\db. Do NOT replace any log files in
<install-directory>
\db. That is, if there is a log file in
<install-directory>
\db
with the same name as a backup log file in
<install-directory>
\db\backup,doNOT
overwrite the log file in
<install-directory>
\db. That is, if there is a log file in
<install-directory>
\db with the same name as a backup log file in
<install-directory>
\db\backup, do NOT overwrite the log file in
<install-directory>
\db.
4. Start the database.
On a Windows NT system, go to the Control Panel and select Services. Highlight
WebQoS DB and click on the Start button.
On a Windows 2000 system, click on Start -> Programs -> Administrative Tools ->
Services. Highlight WebQoS DB, click on the Action menu, and click on Start.
To return the database to the state when the backup was made, do the following:
1. Stop the database.
On a Windows NT system, go to the Control Panel and select Services. Highlight
WebQoS DB and click on the Stop button.
On a Windows 2000 system, click on Start -> Programs -> Administrative Tools ->
Services. Highlight WebQoS DB, click on the Action menu, and click on Stop.
