Installing HP WebQoS

This section describes how to install WebQoS and how to upgrade from an earlier version of

WebQoS. It also includes information on system prerequisites. You need root permission to

perform most of the tasks in this section.

Step 1. Check system prerequisites.

Step 2. Upgrade to WebQoS 3.0 (if you have an older version of WebQoS installed).

Step 3. Install the BroadVision One-To-One Server

software (if you are integrating

WebQoS with the BroadVision server).

Step 4. Install and conﬁgure your iPlanet Web Server

Step 5. Install the WebQoS software.

Step 6. Upgrade or install the management console on a PC. The management console that

can be run on your Solaris system is installed with the WebQoS software.

Step 7. Install the required patches.

Step 8. Locate and print the manual HP WebQoS Administration Guide. The manual is

installed with the WebQoS software in the following location:

/opt/webqos/docs/install_config_guide.pdf
