Known Problems and Workarounds
Virtual Server Request Classification Rule
The Requests to virtual server NAME are CLASS request classification rule is only
supported if the HTTPVersion web server parameter in the /etc/opt/webqos/qos.conf
file is set to HTTP/1.1 (this is the default setting). This request classification rule applies
to software virtual servers only.
WebQoS Component Monitoring Process
A process monitors each WebQoS component (except the management console). If a
component goes down, its monitoring process restarts it. Sometimes, the monitoring
process goes down. To verify that the monitoring processes are running, type
ps -ef | grep monitor. There can be up to four processes running: sca_monitor,
sci_monitor, sco_monitor, and webqosdb_monitor. If one or more of these processes are
not running, start the process using the start script located in /opt/webqos/bin (for
example, type /opt/webqos/bin/sca_monitor_start,
/opt/webqos/bin/sci_monitor_start, /opt/webqos/bin/sco_monitor_start, or
/opt/webqos/bin/webqosdb_monitor_start).
Netscape Navigator and Deferrals
If a customer is using Netscape Navigator version 4.7 or earlier and is deferred, the
customer may be deferred more than the maximum number of times configured. You
should advise your customer to use a later version of the Netscape Navigator or another
browser.
